Some ideas for tapas
If you are our "tapas volunteer" for the month you might like to choose from some of the following. Of course you may have ideas of your own. These are only suggestions. Some of these may need toothpicks to eat. Normal budget for tapas for an evening meeting is £20, allowing for 30 - 35 people.
- Spanish-type cured ham
- Chorizo
- Salchichón
- Olives
- Tortilla
- Cheese – any cheese, not just Spanish Manchego cheese
- Dips with breadsticks or carrot and cucumber sticks
- Quiche slices
- Frutos secos – crisps, peanuts etc
- Patatas Alli Oli (boiled potato pieces in garlic mayonnaise)
- Cocktail sausages
- Cherry tomatoes
- Cocktail sausage rolls
- Anchovies
- Patatas bravas (fried or roasted potato pieces with spicy tomato sauce)
- Prawns
- Mussels
- Calamares
- Stuffed eggs (Gillian’s recipe!)
- Sardine sandwiches
- Little biscuits with cheese spread/smoked salmon
- Crisps
- Tuna sandwiches open or closed
- Empanadas
